Instrument en forme de sonde muni d'un faisceau lumineux, d'un miroir et d'une lentille, destiné à permettre l'examen de certaines parties internes du corps humain (bronche, larynx, estomac, etc.). Les pseudo-abcès et les abcès pourront être incisés sous le contrôle de l'endoscope (Hudelo ds Nouv. Traité Méd., fasc. 1, 1926, p. 518).
